Our Research Projects
At Humana Biosciences, we carry out in-house research projects to continuously improve our experimental models and explore innovative therapeutic approaches.
We are developing experimental models based on smooth muscle tissues from adult pigs to compare the efficacy and potency of agonists and antagonists. These models are particularly relevant due to the anatomical and physiological similarities between pigs and humans, especially in the urinary, digestive, and respiratory systems.

We are currently working to set up the most relevant experimental models for asthma and COPD in rodents and to validate them by some drugs of reference.

We are refining our method to compare ciliary beat frequency in bronchial epithelial cells from healthy donors and patients with COPD, asthma, or cystic fibrosis, using a custom software developed with Dr. A. Kamgoué.

In our laboratories, in collaboration with our consultant, Dr. Rasetti-Escargueil, we are setting up experimental models in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo for testing native Botulinum Toxins and to compare their potency to new recombinant Botulinum Toxins.
